Megan and Brian- Married!

Monticello, MN Photographer

Once upon a time a girl named Megan received a text message from a boy named Brian.  Words were shared and their love story started.

This couple lives and breathes for each other so I am beyond thrilled to share with you some of the pictures from their wedding day.

Megan and Brian were married on St. Patrick’s Day at St. Henry’s Church in Monticello.  The reception followed at Rockwoods in Otsego.  Megan’s dream dress is from Heartstrings Bridal and flowers were delicately created by Shelly at Petals to Pines.

Where you print really does matter

Otsego, MN Photographer

I did a little experiment based upon the feedback that I received when I asked my friends and Facebook “Fans” what company they  use for developing pictures. I sent a few of my images to a couple of the labs that were mentioned to see what they would look like. The results are shown below.

Three things to note: 1. Sorry for the yucky scanned images. 2. There is a huge difference in printing labs. 3. I learned that Shutterfly actually printed the 4×6 inch image on paper that was a few centimeters smaller than 4×6 inches. I am not sure why, but I am pretty sure that if you had a 4×6 inch frame that it wouldn’t fit correctly.

Vicky and Mark- Married!

Elk River, MN Photographer

A few weeks ago I shared with my Facebook Fans that I was part of a surprise for a couple that was getting married. It was a small, intimate courthouse wedding for a couple that flew up to Minnesota so that the Bride could be married in front of her daughter that is expecting a baby shortly. It was a beautiful ceremony held by a comedic judge wearing an “Ugly Christmas Sweater” (the wedding was on 12/21). The memories are priceless and I feel very lucky to be a part of such a wonderful moment.

Please pardon the mess on the blog.  I am in the midst of making changes to it so if you see something goofy, don’t be scared.  It will all be fixed shortly.  :)

Ed and Sue- Married

Elk River, MN Photographer

Ed and Sue were married this past weekend in an intimate wedding held at their own yard.  Ed and Sue are avid outdoorsy people and their yard showed it.  There were cascading waterfalls in numerous flower gardens and ponds.  It was a blissfully relaxing, joyous wedding that was enjoyed by their closest of friends and family.  It was beautiful.  Even the butterflies and bees came to celebrate.-16

Katy and Clayton’s Wedding Slideshow

Duluth, MN Photographer

I am a romantic at heart.  I openly admit that I cry at weddings…every wedding.  There are so many emotions that I feel for couples on their wedding day.  I feel their excitement, their joy, their eagerness and sometimes their fears (of standing up in front of hundreds of people).  I cannot imagine not photographing those emotions because all of them play such a huge role.

I want to share with you the slideshow that I created for Katy and Clayton’s wedding.  I love these pictures so much because you can see the emotions.  Here is the link.  Click Here.

Leah is a dear old friend of mine so when I received a call stating that she was getting married, I screamed with excitement.

Leah and Eric are wonderful together. They both seem to feed on adventure and on making sure that each other are happy.PhotographerPhotographerPhotographerPhotographerPhotographerPhotographer

Jane and Chris- Married

Nerstrand, MN

Jane and Chris were married in Nerstrand at a church that has been a big part of Chris’ family for generations.

The day was filled with special moments that captured Jane and Chris’ loves. They had sentimental readings read during the ceremony and they walked through the military arches immediately after they were married.

My favorite part of the day was watching Jane and Chris. They constantly made each other laugh. It was beautiful to see such a strong love between them.PhotographerPhotographerPhotographerPhotographerPhotographerPhotographer
