Frost was shimmering on the morning of Kaelee’s portrait session so I called her Mother and asked if we could meet in an open field. Thankfully, she agreed. We were only outside for a few minutes, but I was able to capture a few cute outdoor pictures of Kaelee. Don’t worry, she did warm up under a few blankets while reading a book later on. :)

I did a little experiment based upon the feedback that I received when I asked my friends and Facebook “Fans” what company they use for developing pictures. I sent a few of my images to a couple of the labs that were mentioned to see what they would look like. The results are shown below.
Three things to note: 1. Sorry for the yucky scanned images. 2. There is a huge difference in printing labs. 3. I learned that Shutterfly actually printed the 4×6 inch image on paper that was a few centimeters smaller than 4×6 inches. I am not sure why, but I am pretty sure that if you had a 4×6 inch frame that it wouldn’t fit correctly.

A few weeks ago I shared with my Facebook Fans that I was part of a surprise for a couple that was getting married. It was a small, intimate courthouse wedding for a couple that flew up to Minnesota so that the Bride could be married in front of her daughter that is expecting a baby shortly. It was a beautiful ceremony held by a comedic judge wearing an “Ugly Christmas Sweater” (the wedding was on 12/21). The memories are priceless and I feel very lucky to be a part of such a wonderful moment.

Please pardon the mess on the blog. I am in the midst of making changes to it so if you see something goofy, don’t be scared. It will all be fixed shortly. :)

Kate started Kindergarten this fall and to celebrate she had her very own portrait session. She picked out her wardrobe and was really excited about her blue sparkle shoes. I have to admit, they are pretty rocking.

The Sturgis Family and the Raivala Family go way back, really way back. So far back that Katerina remembers the day that my niece (who many of you have met at your wedding, Elayna) was born. It is probably no surprised to you when I say that I could have spent all day with this family exploring Gibbs Museum. To bad that it closed while we were still in it. I did think about hiding in one of the barns for an overnight adventure. I am pretty sure that Ayden would have been up for that.

Little Jacob is more adorable than words can describe. He is a curious little guy that has a smile that can melt anyone’s heart.

Nikki and Jesse were married this past June in an outside ceremony. The day was filled with laughs and fun. Here are some of my favorite images from the day.
